Hi all ,
Can someone help me with this "PROPERTY RELEASE MISSING" problem here?
I enlarged my photos to 200%, I still cannot find anything that can identify the property. To be honest, if weren't for my own records, I would not recall where I took them.
But, I get this wonderful rejection...again...
The properties in the image are the main subject. Someone owns the homes. You need a property release.
If this was your home and your barn, and you discovered them plastered on a building, billboard or city bus, you'd feel violated because nobody asked for your permission to use them for commercial purposes. Stock is an asset business, not a photo contest.
The property release protects you and Stock Customers in the event of a legal dispute.

Here's a real life example. I attended a lecture years ago by a well-known photographer. He published a calendar that included a photo of an abandoned lighthouse. Abandoned, but still owned by an individual. He was sued, and had to give the owner a percentage of the royalties he earned from calendar sales.

I really appreciated the lesson, there is so much to learn, and thank all fo you for the helpful tips. What about this photo? It has been rejected by the reason of "INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY REFUSAL". Doesn't fruit boxes look all the same in orchards. or it is because that 'X' mark?

Not the X's, but these.

You would need to edit out all the references to "Bardin Farms" which shouldn't be difficult to do.
