i think they misunderstood about my photos

Explorer ,
Jan 16, 2024 Jan 16, 2024

my photos are strange, because they're taken in a specific way.

i mean when you look at them you think they are generate with AI but it's NOT.

i mean i can accept the issues about guality and stuff like that but not that they were fixed by AI.

if you could help me it will be my pleasure. here is some of my works for example :

I'm not exactly sure what your rejection reason was, but if it was for quality issues then I think they were rightfully rejected.  There is a lot of noise and texture when zoomed in.  One photo had obvious moire.  Perhaps these are filtered to look like this?  If so, filters applied to photos is discouraged.

I also wonder how you'd keyword and title these?  I'm not sure what I'd search to find them?

LOL. you say it's bad but that's exactly why i shoot. the noises, the texture, the moire pattern. i asked myself why these patterns always disappear when i upload them. its not appropriate?

What do you mean, they disappear? As in they end up under the Not Accepted tab? Personally, I don't see any value in these from a commercial standpoint.

I would never say that a photo is bad.  Only not being used for the right purpose.  What you consider to be an artistic effect is what Adobe considers a technical flaw.  There are plenty of outlets for abstract art though!

In my experience with Stock in general, the less stylized the photo the better.  There is some room for creativity, but it's easier to take a well exposed "plain" photo and stylize it than the other way around.

Cheers!

Go to the Adobe Stock Buyer Portal and search for "abstract background". There are ~46 million assets with those keywords.

I think you're missing the whole point of Adobe Stock.  It's not an art gallery or photography contest. It's a Stock assets business that connects talented contributors with global customers.

Stock customers expect the highest technical & visual quality on a variety of subjects for use in commercial projects -- i.e. posters, t-shirts, tote bags, billboard ads, magazines, videos, printed & digital marketing, etc..  Give customers what they want and you'll succeed here.   Subjects of interest include:

  • Aging,
  • Animals & wildlife,
  • Beauty & cosmetics,
  • Banking & finance,
  • Climate change,
  • Computers & technology,
  • Construction,
  • Cultural diversity,
  • Drone footage,
  • Education & learning,
  • Entertainment, dance,
  • Environment & climate change,
  • Fantasy & Sci-Fi,
  • Fitness & exercise,
  • Food, drink, nutrition,
  • Holidays,
  • Home & office,
  • Martial arts,
  • Medicine & medical technology,
  • Mental health,
  • Personal relationships,
  • Poverty & homelessness,
  • Real people in social settings,
  • Science & math,
  • Sports,
  • Travel,
  • Yoga, meditation, religion.

Avoid submitting low % sellers:  e.g. abstract backgrounds, sunsets, clouds, plants, flowers & pets.

Carefully read your Stock Contributor User Guide for more tips.

Hope that helps.  Good luck.

You didn't indicate the rejection reason. I assume they were rejected for quality issues, because they demonstrate the types of issues - noise, moire, blur - that photographers actively avoid. To say that the effects were intentional will not convince any Moderator to accept them anyway. Beyond the quality issues, I think the images lack commercial appeal. I can't imagine how a Buyer would want to use them in a design.

I think, according what you say, that the assets got refused because of Non-Compliant image.

It does not mean that the moderators think that the asset is generative AI. They are just giving 3 reasons, and reason number 3 is yours.

Most of those sites that @Jill_C talked about are free. Adobe stock is about commercially useable assets. But to sell an image, they need to have a certain level of quality. So you will need to learn how to shoot that quality.

One final thought. Artwork should speak for itself and convey a clear mood or message.  It should not need explanation from the artist.  If Reviewers can't understand it, neither will customers.  🤔

Reviewers don't care, mostly. There only "appreciation" is "valuable for stock or not (AESTHETIC OR COMMERCIAL APPEAL OF IMAGE). The rest are provable facts.

i want this for both of you.

art is like a language, or i dont know. A WAY FOR COMMUNICATE. and if someone talk to you and you can't understand it, the words or the meaning behind that words, you just say : he doesn't even talk or... you know?

i know art is not just talking, but they are very close.

in this situation, my art is like a mute homeless.

Adobe Stock is not a platform to display art, nor is it a platform for the appreciation of art. It is commercially driven, and the images they accept are always evaluated with regard to commercial appeal. Will a designer use it for an ad, promo, web page, billboard, magazine article, product packaging, etc. ? Those designers are the customers.
