I keep getting illustrations rejected as undeclared AI - which is not true as I don't use AI.
So question is am I at risk from having my account blocked because Adobe incorrectly categorise my illustrations.
Many thanks
A
Hello,
I wouldn't think so. However, don't keep uploading multiple images if they are similar.
It's sometimes difficult to detect the difference between hand drawn illustrations and Gen AI versions. Unfortunately, Adobe doesn't provide any avenue for you to dispute the incorrect findings of the Moderators..

I also have this problem every now and then with photos. Sometimes I think they jest give the wrong refusal reason.

We have seen lately multiple complaints of such erroneous rejections. But I doubt that you are at risk of account blocking. It would be, however, interesting to see an example of your work, incorrectly labelled as generative AI, or a similar asset that has been accepted before this.

7 photos, not illustrations, now labelled as AI.

Your original post said illustrations? You should explain more clearly what happens.

Both are true, my first post was because illustrations were rejected and this week 7 or so photos were rejected Adobe categorised them as AI - they were not, they were photos taken with a camera no AI involved.

Adobe is overdoing now with suspecting everything to be generative AI. You will need to attach a property release, stating that it is not AI. 😩
Check first if they do not contain quality issues, as moderators sometimes err with the rejection reason.
Best would be if they would add also a No-AI button, that would make it clearer.

Hope they don't ask for a property release, that's an added burden on contributors. They did come back and changed the reject reasons to quality issues in the end although other agencies have accepted them so hey ho. Thanks Abamo and everyone for your comments.

That's what I suspected. The moderator simply selected the wrong refusal reason. The AI refusal reason is brand new, and did not exist a year ago. So it may be that if quality issues were the refusal reason 3, and that is now AI, moderators simply select the wrong reason out of muscle memory. (I have no idea, how that works in reality, I know only, that moderators do not write any refusals, but they select one! Fast and easy!)
As always: having assets accepted somewhere else does not mean you get acceptance here. Adobe is known to be picky, even that, looking at some accepted generative AI assets, I doubt that occasionally.

Yeah I don't normally get that hung up on rejections I just don't like that Adobe think I'm trying it on with AI. I genuinely don't like generative AI. Taking photos / videos is something I really enjoy. The thought of preferring an algorithm doing something I love for me seems absurd.

Adobe does not think. They have a bunch of moderators who are checking assets at an incredible pace.

That would make sense. Moderators might be getting in trouble for letting REAL undeclared AI assets through (there are a lot), so maybe they are over-compensating?

Ah right - good point
