Inquiry Regarding Potential Issues with Using AI-Generated Content on Adobe Stock

New Here ,
Apr 17, 2025 Apr 17, 2025

Dear Adobe Stock Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to seek clarification regarding the use of AI-generated images on Adobe Stock, particularly those created using prompts such as:
“Mango Isolated on Pure White Background, High Detail, Professional Product Photography, Soft Shadows, Ultra-Realistic, Commercial Use.”

My intention is to create and submit original AI-generated content that mimics professional product photography, but I want to ensure that this approach fully complies with Adobe Stock’s content and submission policies.

Could you kindly confirm if using AI-generated assets based on such prompts may cause any issues, such as:

  • Resembling stock photography too closely

  • Being flagged as synthetic media without proper labeling

  • Any licensing or copyright concerns

I value Adobe Stock’s guidelines and aim to follow them responsibly. Your guidance on this matter will help me proceed with confidence and avoid any potential problems.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Warm regards,

shoaib

There is no issue with AI assets " resembling stock photography too closely". After all, that is the point of AI.

"Being flagged as synthetic media without proper labeling" - by "synthetic" I assume you mean AI. This is definitely not allowed. Persistently uploading AI assets withiut identifying them as such can earn you an account suspension.

"Any license or copyright concerns" - these are all covered in the help pages. You can't use trademarked product names or logos, or names of real people in your prompts or titles or keywords.

There is no "dear Adobe Stock Team" here. We are all contributors.

You need to check the user guide for Adobe stock, and read that thoroughly. Your questions prove that you did not read that.

Check the existing assets in both generative AI and non AI. You will see that you have of all, drawings, illustrations and photos (or photorealistic generative AI). It is not allowed to submit generative AI, without ticking the "generative AI" flag.

If you generate your pictures with the help of generative AI, you need to mark them as such.

Sure. It is your responsibility that what you submit to Adobe stock can be used commercially. And it's your responsibility to ensure that you do not violate any third party rights.
