Are jpg and jpeg considered the same in Adobe Stock Contributor?, and if I upload an image in jpg instead of jpeg, will my image still be accepted?

You are talking about extensions? They are equivalent. In the good old times on a DOS computer, extensions could only have 3 characters, so historically .jpg was the extension. Other computers allowed for more characters, so they used often .jpeg. Today, you can use both and it will be OK, if they are JPEG files.
