I downloaded Gigapixel AI 7 to give it a try, only to discover that it overwrote version 6. So I re-downloaded version 6 (since I didn't really want to upgrade, based on what I felt were minimal improvements), but the Photoshop plugin no longer worked. So I was basically forced to buy the upgrade to version 7 to keep my workflow up to speed.
Topaz has very good support and I probably could have written them to figure how to get version 6 working properly again, but whose got time for that? In any case, it is simply wrong to overwrite a previous version and not give the user a chance to determine if the upgrade was worthwhile and revert to a previous version if not, like Adobe allows us to do.
That said, I at least hope this version doesn't crash Photoshop as often as version 6 did, so there's that. And they do have a setting meant to work specifically with AI images.
Have something to add?
