Just out of curiosity, how many people find the acceptance rate for stock really low?

It depends on who you ask.

  • Beginners have more rejections because they lack experience.  They can't see & correct their mistakes before submission.
  • Experienced Contributors rarely fall below 75% to 90% acceptance rate.

Does that help you?

However, as there are thousands of photographs selling, there is a HUGE difference between being accepted to sell and selling.

This is why it is important to submit what the market wants. Submitting sunset photos may indeed be accepted if they meet the quality standards, but selling them is a different ballgame!

Not thousands, millions. Before you can sell, you need to get accepted. To get acceptance, you need to pass the moderation. To pass the moderation, you have to better to address quality issues beforehand.

When you got acceptance, your asset has to stand out of the crowd.

And eggs can't be sold until the chicken lays them.

If the eggs are damaged, they never reach the market.

So what's your point?

And when rotten eggs go on sale, nobody wants to buy them. You can twist and turn it however you like. You should always offer the customer the best quality, and if the customer wants Easter eggs, you just have to colour the eggs beforehand. Stock is not a concert of wishes, at least not for us.

IMHO, nonsense question. Beginners are normally upset with their refusals because they find their quality perfect. If they contribute for more than a half year, they have probably some success in selling their assets.
