Hi everyone,
I've recently been selected for several Adobe Stock Missions and have successfully completed and submitted multiple assets.
However, I've noticed something strange with the payments:
Once my submissions are approved, I consistently receive around 30% less than the originally stated amount. The remaining balance is added to my account, but the deduction seems quite significant.
I'm trying to understand the reason behind this.
Is this deduction related to quality evaluation? Or is it due to withholding tax?
I should mention that I’m a non-US resident, and when I sell regular assets on Adobe Stock, no tax is withheld from those earnings.
I'd appreciate any insights or explanations from the community or the Adobe team.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Mahdi, I have recently participated to an Illustration mission where I was asked to upload 10 illustrations. I have received the same reduction of 30% to the total amount. I thought it happened because - at the time - I did not fill the W8 form (I am a not US-resident as you are), but reading your post, I guess it is their common practise.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Suomii.
Even though I’ve filled out the W-8 form, the %30 is still being deducted from my mission earnings.

This may be a different tax rule than standard licence sales on stock. You will need to contact contributor support for clarifying that. You may also see that with your tax accountant. Need help? (Stock Contributor Support)

Good idea!
I’ve messaged support and will wait for their response.
I’ll share the outcome here as well — it will definitely help many others too.
