Models with piercings

I am about to photograph a model in the studio for a series of beauty/health/fitness shots and she has a ring piercing in her nose.

Is that acceptable, or should I ask her if she is willing to remove it to shoot?

No, that shouldn't cause any problems. Models with piercings should be fine.

Whatever is acceptable for you and the model... and later the buyer. Some would buy because of the ring, some would skip because of the ring. My feeling is, that it is today totally acceptable to have tattoos and piercings.
