Unless you renamed them incorrectly, the "before" image is better than the after, with the shadows opened up. But the shadows could be opened even further. Personally, I'd also remove the man. It adds nothing to the image.

Much better. In this case, however, the man is clearly visible and could be identified, requiring a model release. Again, I'd remove him.

Your photo has a few issues. Mainly exposure, focus and composition.
The shadows are under exposed and your sky needs the dtails brought out or replaced. The grass needs to be sharpened.
I see a few issues with composition.
1. You need to choose a proper format. 2x3 is not good for landscape. Your eye sees in panorama and you should use a panorama format for your photo. Here I used 1x3.
2. You need to use the Rule of Thirds. Your horizon needs to be placed on a horizontal grid line and your subject on an intersecting point. This allows copy space for the buyer to add text to your photo.
