Apart from distracting shadows, several areas are blurry, not sharply focussed.

The eye is drawn to the light, that's why photographers try to lighten up the main subject and darken the rest of the picture. You photographed the crab in the shadowiness, but the bright stones are fully in the light. So, you can't see the crab very well, good for the crab, bad for your picture. Furthermore, the focus point is a few inches in front of the crab. But in such shots, it is important to show the eyes in a razor-sharp way.
