Hi, i’m new here. Let me ask a question as a Newbie.
For the photo/vector/design contributor, Which is better for income, focusing on one niche or selling stock with various niches?
Or it doesn’t have effect on earning/account traffic/anything?
Thanks
Diversification is good, allowing you to reach more Buyers.
Buyers come to the Buyer Portal and search for a specific asset using specific keywords. If your image is displayed as a result of those keywords, the Buyer doesn't know, and doesn't care that you do not specialize in that asset type.
"Can this be said that one theme is better than many themes? Or is my account traffic exposing the automotive theme more than the medical theme?"
I'd say many are better than single themes. The market changes constantly. If you're making at least some sales with only 900 images, you're doing something right.
Titles AND keywords.

Adobe doesn't provide any such statistics to Contributors.

Due to my background as a photographer (portraits, fashion, etc.) I tend to concentrate on doing what I like doing most, which is, obviously, portraits and fashion. But I also know there is a limited need for same. So I'll do food, animals, people in professional settings, backgrounds, wallpapers, tech, whatever. My fashion stuff does sell, but not as well as the latter material. So yes, diversify, but keep things interesting for yourself rather than attempt to fill a niche that may not even be of interest or that is already over-saturated.

I agree. I am also a photographer and I like conceptual photos of people.
I'm just getting into stock photos. I think, I will not focus on what areas of photography I like, but I will think more about what potential buyers want.
So I try to make photos about any theme that is still rare but needed by buyers.
But, my question is, will having lots of themes affect my sales traffic?

Probably. I mean, it certainly won't hurt. 🙂

I'm curious. Have you submitted anything yet? Or are you just in the process of asking questions? I would highly recommended you get some assets up and running, as it can take up to two months before your images are viewed. During which time you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions. 🙂

Yes. I have been a contributor at Adobe since the end of last year and have around 900 assets approved, including recently trying out Generative AI assets.
So far, I have uploaded my old stock photo works from all themes (food, nature, landscape, still life, etc.).
In terms of sales, it hasn't been significant for me, and I realize this because most of my old stock photos are not commercial and needed by buyers.
However, for the past three months, I have been trying generative AI photo assets. Initially, I focused on the automotive theme, then tried health and medical themes.
The result is that the automotive theme sold more. For the medical theme, only a few sold.
Can this be said that one theme is better than many themes? Or is my account traffic exposing the automotive theme more than the medical theme?

You are asking too much irrelevant questions. As long as you do not create assets for overrun themes, and as long as you are keywording and assign good titles, and as long as the quality of your assets is good, you will do decent sales. The more assets you have in your portfolio, the more sales will happen.
