This looked w bit underexposed to me, and the histogram also reflectes that.  Bumping up the whites and adjusting exposure helped.  The white balance seemed off to me, and I noticed some colored spots on the blanket that may also be correctable.

 

Cats are a pretty saturated topic, I'd make sure your photo is a unique offering before spending time trying to fix it.

Hello,

I agree with @George_F , the picture is a bit underexposed, so you should make the picture a bit brighter, increase the contrast, increase the whites, and alter the white balance a bit.

The histogram shows what to look for:

Notice that the whites could be increased, and exposure.

 

 

If you do those things, you get something like this:

The histogram is also more balanced.

@ricky336 is right. There are no blacks, shadows, highlights and whites. I think you should add some contrast, some blacks and some whites.

The picture is underexposed. That's the big mistake. The image gets improved by adding texture, which is micro contrast. However, blacks are present.
