hey all,

pretty new to the game of stock photography and wanted to try out a single object on a white background shot.

this is the end result, shot on: 0,8, F5,6, ISO 100 on a tripod of course.

the image is declined because of quality issues, can someone tell me what could be why this is rejected?

many thanks!

Your picture has exposure problems, as shown on the histogram:

Whites are missing, except for the highlights on the apple. You would need to edit that highlight out.

You should try to adjust lights so that the highlights are less intensive.

The depth of field is too narrow, I would expect most of the apple to be in focus. The focus should also be probably somewhere in the middle of the apple, and not on the front.

If you are new to stock, you should consider these resources: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/tutorials.html
