Hi, I have only submitted one image so far and it has been rejected. Can you please give your opinion on the reason for rejection? I had to significantly reduce resolution ot be able to post it in this forum.
Thanks a lot.
There is a lot of noise visible in this photo, even without zooming in to 100% view like the review team would. This is also black and white image which isn't accepted for the most part.
I'm assuming Quality Issues was listed as the rejection reason? Feel free to let me know if it was something other than this. It's helpful to include this so we don't have to guess 🙂
If you haven't already, read through the Adobe Contributor User Guide and the Image Submission Guidelines
Cheers!
I put some arrows on some of the areas, but it really is most of the photo.
Cheers!
I can absolutely confirm quality issues are present in the photo, although we never know for sure which of those an image is rejected for.
After a second look there are also some exposure issues here, the blue in the screenshot represents the blacks that are clipped, red represent the whites that are clipped. There aren't a lot of midtones in this image. The bottom end of the toilet paper tube isn't in sharp focus as well, although I'm on the fence about whether thats important with this photo.
Kudos to George though

Thanks a lot for that swift reply. Yes, quality issues as indicated in the subject line :).
The image I submitted here isn't the same resolution as the one I submitted, as there is a limitation in size in this forum. Can you please indicate where you can see the noise? I will then check vs the photo I submitted.
Maybe it is the black and white issue which I wasn't aware of (by lack of reading the full guidelines, admittedly)

forgot to mention: the one I submitted went through Topaze for elimination of noise and looks perfect in the submitted file

or maybe I need a property release? for my own toilet paper holder .....

You'd only need a release if it was rejected for IP issues.

By @AnnemarieJ
That would have been an IP rejection. You need a property release for recognizable property, like your living or kitchen, but not for a macro picture of some device.

Model release: First I thought it was a nude, so the moderator could also have thought that at a fast sight. As for the property release, I do not see a reason for asking that. But the moderator may want to be on the secure side here. Anyhow: the rule is, that when it is asked it needs to be submitted.
This picture would fail moderation on Adobe stock for quality issues.

The nude comment makes sense.
Failing on quality issues is surprising: this picture got many awards, publications and exhibitions. Where do you see quality issues exactly?

The picture is a nice piece of art, but Adobe does not look for art, but for craft. It's like an artist creating a stool where nobody can sit on. It will get exhibited, but a furniture store won't sell it.

Thanks. So it is really a quality issue with the noise (which isn't showing in the submitted version) or the bw. I'll try again with another image.

Adobe does tend to like main subjects mostly in focus.
Here are the search results for "Toliet Paper Holder" on Adobe Stock. It helps to see the top sellers to get a feel for what sells well: https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=toilet+paper+holder&search_type=usertyped
Good luck with your future submissions!

Rejection is on thee first issue that is seen. There is no need to check further, so here the issue was the BW processing. All other issues, including noise and sharpness and exposure and whatever, won't need to be checked any more.

Reducing the image resolution normally also corrects the noise issue. And the noise issue is very strong in this image.

You should always post here the original picture as submitted. You can attach here pictures of 47Mb, that should be enough.

What "brief settings" are you referring to? I'm not aware of such programs in Adobe stock.
