Hello, can someone help me? I'm looking to see if there's anything wrong with the policy regarding car photos for editorial use. I've submitted many photos and haven't had any problems. In the last few days, they've been rejecting them all the time. Do you know why this is happening?

Why did you submit it as a png ?

I have submitted many photos in PNG format for editorial use and they have been accepted.

The guidelines specifically state that PNG is to be used for images with transparency.

Photos should always be submitted as commercial quality JPEG & saved with sRGB color mode.
PNG is for images containing transparency.

Illustrative Editorial is reserved for use in journalism. This type of content often features images of real brands and products — like signs on buildings, soda cans, computers, and cars — to convey a story.

This delivery truck is an example of an Illustrative Editorial asset. The branding & signage make it unfit for commercial use.

Thank you for your answers, they are informative and logical, but the customers who buy photos are mostly car dealers and it is more convenient for them to have the photos in PNG format, that is why I make them transparent. It does not say in the articles that editorial photos cannot be PNG

==========
Selling cars is commercial use. Car dealers have permission directly from the automakers to use approved images for commercial and promotional use. This has nothing to do with Stock.

Car dealers won't buy such a "bad" picture. I did not check the asset for quality issues, but my first impression tells me, that I will find some issues, when I do.
As for PNG files: PNG files are reserved for cut-out pictures (pictures with a transparent background). THat is why we are insisting on not submitting PNG files, if there is no transparency. Currently, Adobe has no issue with that, and as of my information, they silently convert your PNG to JPEG, as there is no advantage of having a PNG file, that just eats up storage space (compared to JPEG).

Car dealers do commercial activity, they can't use editorial use only assets for this.

Your PNG file does not have transparency. Saving as PNG does not add automatically a transparency channel.

Owing to their limited use, most customers won't buy images that are Editorial Use Only, This can impact your sales.

I completely understand your advice, but when the photo shows the car logo, the only option is for it to be editorial

What is your advice for the specific category of photos I should submit, e.g. a car showing the logo, because jpeg editorial that I submitted and it was rejected again?
Thank you very much for your help and your time

Remove the logos.
Submit only commercial quality JPEG for Standard or Extended License use.

What was the rejection reason?

Unfortunately, during our review we found that this file does not meet the Adobe Stock’s Illustrative Editorial Guidelines.
We are looking for imagery intended to illustrate articles on current events and news, focused on conceptual imagery using real brands and products to convey strong ideas.
The most common cases for rejection from that collection are:

Intersesting. What was the refusal heading.
I agree, however, that the image does not have a strong editorial concept, even that those causes are stock text and will appear on all refusals of this kind, so they are not exactly targeted to your assets.
