Hi guys, my images was rejected due to Quality Issues.

I would like to know what specific technical problems you notice, what could I improve to get it accepted for futures submissions?

Thank you for your feedback!

The squirrel: The cropped off tail.

The flowers: Poorly focused, shallow depth of field.

IMG_0586.jpg - the DOF appears to be too shallow, causing parts of the creature to be out of focus

IMG_1349.JPG - DOF is also too shallow here.

In general, I avoid uploading floral images. There are already millions in the database, and yours, unless it's a rare and underrepresented variety in the database, is unlikely to ever be seen or licensed by a Buyer.

I can’t agree with that.

One of my top-performing images is actually a flower — and a pretty ordinary one.

There are a lot of flower photos out there, but the demand for them is much higher too.

Some people win the lottery, too.  You're one of the lucky ones.

The vast majority of flower Contributors are competing with 27 million other flowers. The odds of getting accepted and making a sale are about the same as getting struck by lightening, twice in the same day. 😲

Yes, flower images do sell; but my point is that for every type of flower type there are many, many images in the database and getting yours to rise to the top of the search results is nearly impossible. However, selling it just once will improve its ranking.

If you're serious about photography, start saving for dedicated camera equipment.

Smartphones are convenient & easy for taking quick snapshots. But they're also very limited in what they can do. You'll never get the same image quality & manual precision from a phone that you will from a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

Most Stock photographers have at least one camera with two or three lenses, a tripod and external lighting.

Forgive my ignorance.  The narrow orientation looked like what one would expect from a phone camera.

Hi @VarioDani ,

Too much of the subject of the first image is out of focus. You need to adjust the F-stop settings to get your subjects in focus

Parts of the insect is out of focus because of too much of a shallow depth of field

The third image could be a little warmer and a little grainy.

jacquelingphoto2017_1-1745892294892.png

The out of focus wood in the forefront is a bit distracting and parts of the animal edges are a little soft.

Best wishes
