Hello, please critique my image of a "christmas Fox". It was recently rejected as a JPEG file. I'm not sure why. Perhaps too many details that are not consistent?

Hello,

Your thumbnail is too small to give a critique. You ought to upload a full-sized image if you can. Is it AI by the way?

What was the actual rejection reason? Quality, IP...

It stated "quality" but nothing more.

Quality - so it could be this reason. Adjust your white balance a bit - the background is a tad blue and decrease the exposure a bit as well - you should try to bring out the snow - it's a bit overexposed.

Perhaps something like this:

Quality will include white balance and exposure!

I see errors in the picture, but nothing so bad that it would warrant a refusal on this picture. I've seen much worse passing.

I was a bit surprised as well, and probably looked at the picture for nearly an hour. I suppose one of the eyebrows isn't conistant, along with everyone els'es feedback about the white and the snow. Additionally, I compared it to my accepted images, and hardly see any difference. I wonder if Adobe just runs it through an automated system of some sort for quality checks, or could it be one of the actual reps. Who knows.

The moderators are human. They make mistakes. Imagine looking at hundreds of images a day and having to make quick decisions about their quality. I get sick and tired looking at my OWN images day after day. 🙂 Certainly vectors are automated to go to one group of moderators, AI to another, photos and videos, etc. But otherwise, humans are making the decisions.

Makes sense, and completely understandable! Should I tweak the image and
send it again? Or will they assume I'm spamming?

You can make adjustments and it is not considered spamming, but, if it gets rejected again, I would forget it and move on.

By @DigitalGrinMedia

We know: moderators are humans. We do not know what technical aids they have at their side to check the assets, nor do we know exactly what triggered the refusal.

Often refusals are easy to defend, but in this case I would guess it was a refusal by error.

Make some adjustments that are easy to do and enhance the image and resubmit. Resubmitting with corrections is not considered spamming. Also, as long as you do not resubmit systematically, you won't be singled out as a spammer. More than once, I have resubmitted assets after correcting the supposed error.

I agree with @Abambo, it should not have been refused. I suppose I could find some nitpicky stuff with the frosting (and frosting being frosting is not going to be perfect if applied by hand) and @Ricky336 might have a point about the exposure, but far, far, far worse are still being accepted much to the ire of buyers. Suggestion: If you have Photoshop, use Gen Fill to add some space to the right or left for copy and submit again.

Thank you for your time and feedback. I suppose adding some copy space too would warrant an "acceptance".

I love your Christmas fox. 😊💕If you had a bunch of these, I can see this made into a Children's book of some type. As is, as in the only image, it would make a lovely Christmas card.
