Seeking Advice on Using "Collections"

Explorer ,
Sep 18, 2024 Sep 18, 2024

Hi everyone,

I’ve been uploading  to Adobe Stock for some time now, but I’ve never really used the “Collections” feature so far, and I’m starting to wonder if it might be worth exploring to organize my portfolio more effectively.

Could someone kindly point me to a guide or provide insights on how to best use the "Collections" feature? I’d love to know if they are worth the time investment and what the key benefits or potential drawbacks are. Are there any pros and cons that I should consider before diving into organizing my images into collections?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can share!

Best regards,
Vilius

To the best of my knowledge, Collections serve no purpose with regard to searches. Collections are for users who wish to organize their assets for their own personal benefit. I believe you can link to a collection by way of social apps but unless you have followers who are into purchasing stock, they would serve no purpose.

You can create as many Collections as you want to internally organize your stock assets; however, I find it such a cumbersome process that I'm no longer adding to my Collections. You can feature two collections visible to potential Buyers on your Portfolio page. But most Buyers aren't going to come to your portfolio page to search for the assets they need for a project. They will search by keywords on the Buyer portal.

Good advice @Jill_C . I too have stopped adding to collections. It is just added work that serves little purpose. I also nolonger update my portfolio. I have no evidence that buyers come from my portfolio. If I want to sell from my portfolio, themn I willl use a private website where I get a 100% profit from a price I seem fit  and not 33% of a subscription price.

Do you have an Adobe Portfolio website?  All Adobe Stock Contributors are granted a free Adobe Portfolio website.

https://portfolio.adobe.com/

In order to share your Stock images on Portfolio, you must organize into Collections first.  However, it only works with images, not video.

See below for more details.

Hope that helps.

I created a Facebook business page, where I promote any assets by copying and pasting links to the image that have been sold. The images are displayed with the Adobe watermark and clicking the image will take the viewer to the image on Adobe Stock.

That said, while the page does get views and has followers, I highly doubt it has ever resulted in a sale. It's just something to do just in case. 🙂
