Spot the technical issues, anyone?

Hello forumites,

 

I have *many* photos rejected for technical issues, whcih makes me think there's something I'm doing habitually. Here's an example. Can you help?

I would agree with @Jill_C  that it is a focus issue.  I think with your shallow depth of field, you actually focussed on the red pillar rather than the ornate detail which is the more interesting detail.  See the snippet of your photo at 100% magnification. I would have also gotten rid of the fly on the top left corner. -Rob

I would agree with @Jill_C  that it is a focus issue.  I think with your shallow depth of field, you actually focussed on the red pillar rather than the ornate detail which is the more interesting detail.  See the snippet of your photo at 100% magnification.

I would also say, that the interest in such a picture is not really great (commercial appeal). There is clearly not only a focussing, but also a composition error with this picture.
