Simply unbelieveable that images obviously shot in a studio in a controlled lighting situation would get turned down for an exposure issue. Not the first time either! Who are these editors?

Hi Chimperil,
Most of the times indoor shots are underexposed. studio shots need strong daylight lighting design, and technical photography knowledge, otherwise, need to be adjusted using a photo editor. In any case we cannot assess your work except you upload copies here for us to analyze and provide you with feedback.
Best wishes
