Hi there,
Is a model release required of travel photos of people. I recently took photos of children and adults in rural Mozambique who don't speal a word of english.
Thank you in advance.
Yes. As soon as the people are recognizable, you need to submit a model release. A model release may be submitted in different languages. In Mozambique chances are, that they can read Portuguese. Any supported language will do.
For children, you will need idealy the consent of one parent as person in charge and the other parent as witness.
One release per person is needed!

You're welcome. You do not need necessarily to use Adobe's release. Check here for more information on the realeases: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/model-release.html#:~:text=A%20model%20release%20is%2....
Important: Signing dates need to be the same for the model and the witness, as the witness signs, that they witnessed the signing of the model. I would also set the photographer's date the same. The shooting date(s) do not necessarily be the same day, but you need to stay inline with a certain logic. Two persons on the same picture need to have the same shooting day.

Releases of recognizable people are ALWAYS required, regardless of where they were taken and what language they speak. You can use such images for your own uses to preserve your memories of the trip, but you can't use them commercially.
