Ownership is entirely your responsibility. Ensure you have rights to use the content commercially before you submit. If you're not certain about ownership, DO NOT SUBMIT it. Period.

As any successful Stock contributor will tell you, diversity and regular sales are essential to reaching the widest possible audience.  If customers can't see your work, they can't possibly buy it.  If they don't buy it, nobody else will see your work either.  It's a vicious cycle.

You have a 45% rejection rate. It's generally accepted that one should maintain at least a minimum of 50%, which should improve over time.

As for the moderators accepting responsibility for overlooking copyright infractions: No, that is on the contributor. If an underage customer enters a bar and produces a very good but fake identification, it is not the bartender who gets arrested.

Because of this, the moderators leave my images in review for a long time without saying whether they have been accepted or not? Some images are accepted very quickly. And other images stay in review for over a week. Is it because I don't want my acceptance rate to get worse?

Many contributors have been waiting for 2 to 3 months or longer to have their assets reviewed. So you're lucky in this respect. But with your low acceptance rate, remember that Adobe is actually losing money while paying moderators to reject, rather than accept, assets that might actually be purchased.

how is the acceptance rate calculated? I think I have 55% according to the same formula, no way 45%

You're correct. I calculated wrong. Nevertheless, keep in mind that the top contributors maintain an acceptance rate of 90% or higher.

The more images—both accepted and rejected—I have, the harder it becomes to raise my acceptance rate. I would need to upload over 10,000 works to significantly improve the percentage. Perhaps on a new account, I could maintain a higher acceptance rate now that I have a better understanding of how the submissions work. I can't create that many works; it takes quite a long time to raise my percentage to 90%

Unfortunately, I didn’t edit them properly; they need to be edited with specialized software. I didn’t even upscale them—some images are 1792 x 2688 in size. Usually, if I create images of animals (they look aesthetically and visually pleasing without editing), I leave them as they are. Before, I wasn’t sure which images to submit, but now I’ve learned more about how to get the AI (Leonardo AI) to generate higher-quality images. Due to copyright restrictions, I can’t generate locations or portraits with human subjects—generally, I can only create images with animals. Otherwise, many images might resemble real people. Even if I specify "fictional," I’m not sure if it wouldn’t generate a human portrait based on a real person. Although I have seen many such assets depicting people, each one could resemble an actual person, and that person could file a complaint. Although I have also created a few more stylized portraits depicting people, they are somewhat blurred or feature costumes, glasses, and different makeup to avoid resembling and depicting a real person.

I've never ever submitted an AI asset without at least some degree of editing. It is required 99.9% of the time. Even the rare "perfect" AI result can be improved with editing.

I don’t have such a specialized editing program; many of them are quite expensive. I use the free image generator, without complex premium features.

2000 + 1675 = 3675 total images submitted. 1675/3675 = 45.5% rejected.

That's the formula I originally used, but enter the same figures here:

I can't figure out the discrepancy.

According to this formula, it gives me 55%, not 45%. Because right now I have over 2,000 images, even though some have been rejected, many have been accepted—more than a quarter.

If I'm thinking correctly, the 55% is your acceptance rate, the 45% is your rejection rate. But whatever it is, a LOT of your assets are being rejected.

I think I figured it out as I was thinking about it driving home from the grocery store. The teacher's grading app is providing the acceptance rate.

I believe it might be about something else. Assets that may require more in-depth review due to potential copyright concerns tend to take longer to be verified. I've noticed that if I submit images of something fictional, like dogs or cats, they’re often accepted quite quickly—sometimes within 20-30 minutes or up to 2-3 hours. However, when I uploaded artwork inspired by well-known pieces (works that are over 70 years old and thus in the public domain), they remained under review for longer. Out of caution and concern about possible copyright issues, I eventually removed them to avoid any account restrictions. Although I’m not exactly sure how the AI works, I would normally like to upload these works; they have been in the public domain for over 70 years, and the original artists are no longer with us.

45% reject rate is not very good. You should be learning from your rejects and with each submission, reducing your reject rate by submitting improved images. I don't think reject rate has anything to do with how quickly or slowly your assets are reviewed.

I want to create good content, but I cannot afford premium features because I wouldn’t even make back the money from sales. I use Leonardo AI, although recently it has started to have certain limitations, and I haven't found a better one. I cannot take away my passion for art and images and for creating images using AI. Even with a lower percentage and a smaller acceptance rate, I still enjoy uploading images, even if I don’t sell a single one.

=============

If you're not making sales, then you're just spinning your wheels without progressing. That's not a productive use of time for anyone, least of all Adobe Stock Reviewers.

A better use of your time would be to invest in some structured drawing & painting courses. 😁

AI is merely a tool; it's not a vocation. And it's not a substitute for talent.

If just displaying your work is of importance to you over sales, try Instagram and save the moderators some time. And if you're not selling, there's a very good chance your assets aren't even being seen.
