Hi! It’s my first time uploading PNG files to a stock website, and I’ve run into an issue: light-colored images are hard to see on the white background.
I’ve noticed that some other authors upload PNG files with a semi-transparent black background. However, the upload guidelines state that there shouldn’t be any background. What’s the correct way to handle this situation? There’s no option to upload a JPG preview or select the display background for your PNG files. Can I add a 90% black background directly to the PNG image?
Thank you!

That's a vector asset. And if you are checking that out correctly, it does not offer a PNG file format, because there is a background. And the JPEG file offered is unusable.
Go ahead and submit your asset. Someone licensing this should know how it works, at bleast, I h

Yep. That is a problem. I cannot imagine that an almost transparent background will get approved. But, I have been wrong before. Give it a try and let us know.

Show us. We do not know what asset you are talking about. We would need to get the asset ID for looking that up.

Yes, now I see the difference. Those were vectors, not PNGs. Thank you so much! I’ll give it a try 🙂

You're welcome.
I even can say that the vector files do not conform with the requirements, but given the way they work, nobody would buy them, if they would.
With PNG files, it is unfortunate, that the buyer is not able to choose their background colour, as this would really help, with many assets, independant of yours.
