I'm having trouble getting new vector images approved. The reasons for rejection don't address the problems specifically. Iincreased the size and resolution and resubmitted but got rejected again. I think it may be the Jpeg preview. Should I not include preview when submitting? What is wrong with this image, for example.
Thanks
I don't think it's anything specific to this image as I got the samerejection for 19 others.

So, why do you think that my assessment is not correct? “Quality issues” refusal is quite generic, and just says that you have some issues with how your picture is built, but you have (probably) not IP problems or some other issues. However, as moderators refuse on the first error they see, you may have multiple issues. IP is here not a concern. Incidentally: you didn't confirm

What was the refusal reason?
And no, you should not any more submit a JPEG preview. They can now generate that by themselves correctly, and they will offer the asset as vector, JPEG and PNG, which opens a greater market for us contributors. The art board, however, needs to be big enough for that.
If the rejection reason was quality issues, then I think that it could be, that you did not separate the objects, tree and beast.
(I moved the background to check that!)
I also find that some patches are wrongly coloured:
I would have addressed that, before sending it over.

Thank you for your time. I don't think it's anything specific to this image as I got the samerejection for 19 others. I made spots of somewhat varying colors as an artistic decision. I am frustrated because the jpeg preview seems like a black box that I can't access information about. And I'm reluctant to uncheck the preview box just to find out in days or longer that it was some other not really explained issue. I think I may have to just get Illustrator for a month to process my 100 or so current vectors.

I strongly suggest you look at this:
“…that you did not separate the objects, tree and beast.”

I would consider a single spot a different colour than all the others an error.

I have no idea what that means, however, Adobe creates own previews from the vector asset as JPEG and PNG (where appropriate).

The tool you use is irrelevant, even that Adobe has for sure a preference for Illustrator. 😉
