Should we avoid adding a vignette to contributions completely? Will that automatically lead to rejection?

I'd say it all depends on the subject and how the effect is applied.  On board camera effects are usually rejected because they tend to be more gimmick than artistry.

"Artistic" processing is usually not desired in stock images. On this page:

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/photography-illustrations.html

it says:

Don’t: Add sunrays or flares.

Don’t: Create mirrored images, kaleidoscopes, or patterns.

Don’t: Use effect filters.

Don’t: Add vignettes or frames.

Will lead to rejection if too strong. I often use a vignette. Max 15%.

Thanks, Ralph! I've seen some get kicked back, but they're generally egregious use.

Thanks, Nancy. I could see where that would be true.
