Why would postcard from the 20th century in high resolution not be accepted?

Hey there everyone,

Could you critique the image here as it does not get accepted due to quality issues? It is a high-resolution image and I find it quite beautiful with patina. Something that would take a lot of skill and time to recreate digitally. Maybe I am wrong, also a possibility. But any feedback would be much appreciated. (compressed to fit in the 10MB limit)

There may be an IP issue here. Where is the commercial value?

Along with @RALPH_L, I also question how this would be used commercially.  I don't think this appeals to a wide audience.  If I were to use something like this, I would take one of the blank vintage post cards on Adobe Stock and add my own writing.

The lines of the card are also not straight in the scan.

It is a really cool piece of history though!

Hi,

besides that what others wrote before I also think that the Quality of the Print and Ink on the Postcard is not that sharp that it fits todays Standards of "sharpness". Hope it helps.

regards,
Henrik

Try submitting to Alamy or ShutterStock.  Maybe they have customers for it.

Personally, I don't see much commercial use for it.
