Hi Irna

I can understand your concern, however for the sake of efficiency this is the best way for it to work. Here is an overview of what is happening:

Within a day over 100,000 images pouring in. In addition there are yet thousands of new photographers signing up. There is a 5 days commitment of which to process each new submitted file. Share your picture, add the refusal reason and we will analyze and advise what to change, but please one by one and not 300 in one message. After several pictures you will be able to interpret the refusal reasons by yourself. In addition you will not submit any pictures that do not meet the quality requirements.

As a general rule, I would suggest you submit pictures in small chunks to avoid mass refusals because a whole collection meets the same quality flaws.

Hi Irina,

Both photos are very noisy - both luminance noise and color noise. This is what you need to do. Zoom each at between 100 and 200% magnification. You will see a lot of spots all over the images. For the second image they are especially within the line of dark clouds. Those spots are not supposed to be there. You will especially see multicolored spots at the lower part of the second image. Those are not supposed to be there either. You will need to use a photo editor such as Photoshop, L

Hi Irna

I can understand your concern, however for the sake of efficiency this is the best way for it to work. Here is an overview of what is happening:

Within a day over 100,000 images pouring in. In addition there are yet thousands of new photographers signing up. There is a 5 days commitment of which to process each new submitted file. The moderators need to be looking carefully for issues as evasive as a tiny "M" trademark on a garment, or a truck way in the background with business names, logos or trademark on. This takes time since the images has to be viewed at 100% magnification. Writing individual rejection reason also take a lot of time, hence the easiest way is to have some predefined reasons in the database of which moderators will find and apply to each relevant rejection. The rejection notice contains explanation and direction to where you go for detailed personal help. This is not new to Adobe, or any other Stock Platforms that employs this practice. As a matter of fact this practice is not new to stockphoto platforms. It has been in used for more than 4 decades by big companies that have to deal with volume communication, hence not considered unprofessional.

I believe you are at this forum because your rejection notice directed you here. The same holds true for most of us if not all. At this forum you can now get the one-on-one treatment you require from experienced photographers. What you need to do is to upload a copy of the rejected files and what rejection reasons you were given and we help you to identify these, and offer other suggestions where appropriate.

Files That Cannot Be Deleted

As soon as your files are processed by the moderators, the accepted files are placed on the website for license, while a thumbnail copy of the rejected files are made and placed in the Rejection folder for your reference and the original is deleted from Adobe's database. You are not able to delete the thumbnails.

Does this practice produce progress?

The answer to that question depends on each individual. There are many that learn volumes from these forums, and have progressed from lest than 10% approval to more than 90% within short time.

Best wishes

JG

For the second image they are especially within the line of dark clouds. Those spots are not supposed to be there. You will especially see multicolored spots at the lower part of the second image. Those are not supposed to be there either. You will need to use a photo editor such as Photoshop, Lightroom, or any other similar software to smooth out those spots, using the noise reduction application.

Also I believe they are under exposed a bit. It is important that you take your photos with the right exposure. This also helps to reduce the amount of noise your get. You may need to use the application to add a little more exposure to these image.

Probably adding a little contrast and vibrance to the second image might also improve it. Do not over do it.

I am not sure the second image is in focus. If it was not reject for out of focus, do as I said and resubmit, the moderator might just think otherwise. If it is out of focus there is nothing you can do about it.

Give that a try and resubmit and let us know the result.

Regards

JG

Same solution! look above.

When posting your pictures in an OWN thread, add the refusal reason given. The heading is enough.
