How does one delete from ones rejected page the images that have been rejected?

I contacted Adobe people and they replied by email that you can't delete the rejected files. Its a reminder that you don't upload the same files again

I keep collections under each reason for rejection in Lightroom.  On each image I put the Adobe File number and reason declined.  It has proved useful and the whole process is sharpening my developing skills.  The small images in the rejected folder seem too low resolution to be used as examples.
