So I have this photo of an eagle flying on a clear blue day. It's a Fish Eagle, which I took at St Lucia (South Africa). (Image 128261830). I called it 'Fish Eagle - St Lucia', and the Keywords are Eagle, Fish Eagle, African Eagle, St Lucia, Predator, Flight. This came back as a "Keyword or Title Errors".  I have had several similar queries/rejections - is there some point I am missing?

I am as mystified by the rejections as I am about the acceptances.

I found the file is now online so you are all set. To answer your question...

No need to list the word Eagle 3 times. Instead of what you listed in your original post you would have been better off using the following list as your keywords...

eagle

fish

African

St. Lucia

predator

flight

In addition, I would have added the following keywords..

flying

wingspan

bird

hunting

feathers

nature

Africa

wildlife

Mat, what I am not sure about is, if I Need to repeat words from the title as keywords.

If, for example the title would be "Hiker crossing an alpine pasture", do I Need to put "Hiker", "alpine" and "pasture" also as keywords?

Thank's for your help!

Hi Luis,

Yes, for sure you want to add those words as keywords in addition to the title. Especially if they are very important to the image. The system puts a greater emphasis on the first 7 keywords so if they are important, be sure to add them there.

From what I understand, the Adobe Stock search engine does pick up the title words though I don't know at what level of relevance. The Fotolia search engine doesn't read the title at all so it's very important to duplicate the words when appropriate.

thank you for your prompt and very helpful answer!

Is there a way to edit the list of keywords of already uploaded Images?

No problem and yes, you can edit the keywords on approved images inside the contributor portal.

Cheers!
