Yesterday was my first time uploading photos to a site like this; I uploaded what I believed were my best photos, and while some are still going through review, this one was already rejected for "one or more technical issues."
I'm hoping someone here could give me some feedback as to what would constitute the "technical issues" found in this photo that would be reason for rejection.
Unfortunately, you have poor lighting conditions and it is not well exposed. There are shadows that shouldn't be there. The composition is also not very good - it's not well balanced - and I think you have problems with white balance.
Have a read of this from Adobe.

It looks like every other poorly lit, harshly shadowed foodie shot I see on Instagram.

Have a look at light boxes - a good way of avoiding unwanted shadows - and don't be discouraged, technical issues can be overcome and your best work will then shine 🙂
