Appreciate there are a lot of us asking the same question so big thanks if you can help.
Submitted this image the other day which has been rejected. But wondering if it is because of the 'intended focus or something else?
My idea was for buyers to be able to use it as a background.
Many thanks
James

I think the rules the checkers apply are quite simple, and so deliberate/artistic use of out-of-focus just isn't going to fly. You will also find a whole bunch of photo consumers going "look, these photos in Adobe's Stock aren't even in focus, I won't use them again". Photos need to be technically excellent and, yes, conventional.

Hi James,
It would have been a lovely capture, but unfortunately it is out of focus. Your subject need to be sharp and in focus.
Best wishes

Your photo definitely won't fly. I wouldn't submit any deliberate out of focus pics.
