...and the answer is no. Files can't be "unlicensed", but a friendly Adobe employee may grant you a replacement license.

 

Alternatively, instead for waiting this to happen, you can also contact Adobe customer service. Adobe customer care can be contacted here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html - click the small callout at the lower right of the screen and type "agent".
