So I got some vector file from adobe stock, and it says that they are available in .eps file which is perfect for me as it opens straight into my software!
Problem is, there is no way to get that .eps! it only downloads the .ai file, no option to choose the file format wanted.
Without counting the fact that opening a .ai in photoshop makes it a blank image, dropping it into photoshop makes an error and trying to open it in photoshop with the library is an error too.
Oh and support is bouncing me around saying I need to talk to a support agent!
So where do I get that .eps file that is advertised on the product? or can I get my credit back so I can go for a service that offers to download in the file system they advertised?

vector files are either ai or eps, but I have to say that I did not yet see eps files. Best is to have access to a program reading ai files. Better is to have access to Illustrator. However, Photoshop should also be able to open, but it will save only a pixel graphic.
What is the asset number?

Assets numbers:
- 229587624 Available in AI/EPS
- 132659470 Available in AI/EPS
- 165623140 Available in AI/EPS
- 105828230 Available in AI/EPS
I don't need a program that can read AI file since I have one that fit me perfectly that can read EPS file, and all file are available in EPS format! What I need, what is best, is to have Adobe delivering the products they are selling (in that case EPS files) or give me the credits back so I can use them to grab some JPG files instead!
Photoshop cannot open AI files for those reasons:
1- It is stupid to use a non-vector program to deal with vector file, if I take a vector file, it is to be able to resize them without quality loss.
2- Opening a .ai file result in a blank file so it cannot open them
3- Drag and dropping a .ai file result in an error of unsupported file type, so it cannot open .ai file
3- If I use the library instead, it gives an error saying it requires illustrator, so it cannot open .ai file

I use a lot of Ai files with Photoshop. However, Ai files are best opened in Illustrator.

That's why I want the EPS file that it is said is available and not the ai file.
I don't want to use photoshop for vector file, I want the EPS so I can use them with my software.
If it said it was only available in AI, then I would not have taken them.
So I either get my credit back as Adobe is not delivering what they say, or I get the EPS files (My prefered choice)

Rename to EPS and try that! That should work perfectly.
BTW: I'm not Adobe. I'm just trying to help.
Your first message (Script Alert) I do not get. May be I'm not trying the same way you are doing. Anyhow, I have Illustrator installed.
The second message tells us that the download is not complete. So that has nothing to do with Photoshop not being able to open...

I analyzed the asset File #: 132659470 . It's a Adobe Illustrator file with an embedded EPS, so any program opening EPS files should be able to open this. Rename to EPS if it does not work with your program.
BTW: it looks a lot like Photoshop can open Ai files without a problem:
...if it makes sense is a different story!

On my side, it is pretty clear that it doesn't want to open it!
Which again doesn't matter as I don't plan to use the EPS files that adobe says are available with photoshop but with a vectorial software.

What is the program you use to open EPS files?

The script alert message is if I try to open them with the library tab in photoshop.
The fact to have illustrator installed probably add some libraries that makes it work for you.
I use inkscape, it does the job well enough for me for the few times I need to use vector files (usually logo making)

Does it work with Inkscape by renaming the file to EPS?

By renaming to EPS, it 'works' on photoshop (obviouslt still rasterized), but I still get an error that I don't have with other EPS with inkscape.
I will just use other services next time I am looking for stock vector.
You are trying your best to help, thank you a lot for that, but the support which is the one which should be on the case are doing nothing at all.

Support is this: Contact Customer Care . The fora are user by user help with some Adobe participation.
The file should work fine with inkscape.
This is what you can do now for your assets: take the 7 days free trial of Illustrator, open the files and save as EPS. Cancel the trial.

I had the chat of the customer care open for 3 days waiting for one of their staff to answer shortly after they initially bounced me around trying to find an agent to help me -> it is pretty useless and they closed the chat themselves and sent me an email saying they resolved my problem, but they should have maybe tried to talk with me first...
As for the downloading illustrator as a trial to get the file they should offer as they says... At 15⬠/4GB of data... Who is paying for that? Not them that's for sure. So i will keep with the software i have already installed and as i said will spend the time to trace them myself. I have already cancelled my subscription (twice because of technical problems), and if i need a vector file again in the future, i will go for another stock service that offer the files as i need them.
Thanks again for trying your best to help, it does show the community is doing a better job than the support itself.

As for your support issue, I'm looping in Sheena Kaul for expert advice.

There is no 15⬠price tag for the Illustrator test drive.
If you look to the description, it says:
AI/EPS
...and that it is.

Hi Q. J.,
I understand your frustration, however customer care cannot assist you if you aren't there to provide information. Regarding the files you've licensed these can be opened in Photoshop if you place them in an existing file either as linked or embedded assets. You could then save them as .eps files.
