When I go to look at stock plans there is a choice: Annual commitment ($30 per month, 10 images per month) or Month-to-month ($30 per month, 3 images per month). So to avoid the high cost of cancellation, just take the month-to-month plan, but lose 7 images each month.

Not all plans are available in all regions. The 3-assets-per-month plan is not available in my regions (it was formerly, however).
