Bought a file that can't be use with my wp/divi

Hi there, 

I really need some help. I bought an .ai file (icons) that I wanted to use for building my website but wordpress tells me that this format is not supported and I can't use or even upload it. 

Can someone please help me out here? I paid for it and now can't use it. Can I somehow reverse the purchase?

Do you have a vector graphics app like Illustrator or Inkscape? Inkscape is free.

Export the native Illustrator file to a web compatible file format like JPG, GIF, PNG or export it to SVG.
