We have a brand new look! Take a tour with us and explore the latest updates on Adobe Support Community.
I just recently licensed two .ai files from Adobe Stock and am unable to edit either of them.
What is the point of having these files if you are unable to edit them?
Files AdobeStock_75864347.ai and AdobeStock_210880129.ai
I have ungrouped the elements, it's almost as if it is a flat image just saved in an .ai file.
Please show a screenshot of the layers panel (layers open, so the contents are visible)
Which version of Illustrator is it?
There doesn't seem to be anything in the layers.
And this one....
There are groups in them and maybe clipping masks.
So select them and then Object > Ungroup
resp Object > Clipping mask > Release.
You need to make the layers panel larger and read what's listed in there.
I did all of that. That didn't work either.
And it's the most recent version of Illustrator CC 2019
I just downloaded them.
This looks like it has not been created with Illustrator and gradients got converted to crap.
AdobeStock_210880129.ai actually contains a pixel image. While it's technically an AI/EPS image, it's not vector artwork as one would expect.
I'll alert staff to this and hope it can be settled.
I don't expect that the same artwork exists as vector artwork, so you might want to either draw something yourself or search for a different design.
Thank you for clarifying. I'm glad to know it wasn't just me!
Thank you for the prompt answer and assisting me with this!
