So I'm planning on buying some illustrations and making some posters to afterwards sell them
I will add background elements, some textures and text but the main illustration will still be in the middle and main one
My question is will the extended license be enough?
I kind of lean towards yes because in the licensing info it mentions that the work is derivative (see screenshot)

which it definitely will but the main character will still be there as the main attraction
just want to make sure everything is right 🙂
Best Regards
Vik

because in the standard one you have to change things until the primary value is not there anymore

In your case, it's not the work that is a derivate, but the product you sell… but fortunately for you, that doesn't matter here. You can sell posters, T-shirts, mugs, shoes, socks, trousers, backpacks, pens, … with an Adobe stock asset printed on, when you acquire an extended licence of that asset.

(Disclaimer: As always with licensing, this is my interpretation of the rules. I think they are correct and advice is based on reading and interpreting the licence terms and on fair use for both the buyer and the artist/stock company, but I cannot rule out that my interpretation is wrong. I'm not an Adobe employee).
