Had no idea the free trial ended with a year long commitment?!?!

Hello, I had no idea a trial of this service would put me in a year long commitment for this service that had a PENALTY fee to cancel. I feel duped and taken advantage of. I haven't seen any other company do this.
 
This is unfair and a complete scam. Adobe can check my account and see that I haven't even used it. Maybe downloaded 2 photos during the trial period.  
 
What's going on here?

The terms and conditions state clearly, that after the initial month, you will get charged and you will have a one year subscription. The early termination fee is stated in the terms and conditions. I recommend that next time, you take a subscription, you read all the relevant information. It's for sure not a scam.
