Image used on Pixers website

I have discovered at least one of my images being used on various products on the Pixers website.

Surely they need to have bought the extended rights to the image to do this, but I can't remember

this happening with this image? How do I double check this and is Pixers allowed to do this?

Here is the answer I received from Pixers:

Unfortunately, we cannot provide that proof because it's confidential. We have individual licence terms with them.

If you need any details, again, please contact Adobe Stock.

Yes I've told them that.

As far as I can see, 37 downloads and only £40 earned, tells me that no extended license has ever been bought.

Look into one individual big sale. An extended license should be a single big sale in your earnings. 37 downloads and 40£ can be an extended license and 36 others. Just look into the commissions you earn per sale.

The other way: if they sell individual licenses as a reseller of Adobe stock, they will pay you (Adobe stock) each time they make a sell. If I’m buying your picture for my own pleasure, I need only a standard license even if I put that picture on a t-shirt.

However, Pixers should be able to provide some kind of proof. They do not need to expose their « confidential » terms, but they could affirm that they are a reseller of Adobe stock via the API.

Thanks Abambo, but how do I find commissions per sale on an individual image?

Pixers are selling various products where the image is the sole reason for buying the product, hence the need

for an extended license, surely.

Before I go back to Pixers I would like an official view from Adobe, if anyone is there?!

If they are the buyer of the license: Yes. They buy one extended license and can produce 1000s of products without you earning one more cent. If they are a re-seller, as there exist some, they are selling the image, the item and the service to transfer the image to the item. I know that there exist some of this kind, and each time your picture gets selected that will generate a sale for you.

I finally received an answer from Adobe support via an email (certainly not through online chat which was useless).

Apparently, Pixers are a partner site to Adobe:

They are allowed to display our entire collection to their customers. If a customer chooses your image then a license is purchased directly through Adobe Stock and your commission is paid as normal. If they have another customer that wants to use the same image they would then need to purchase an additional license.

Just ignore the obviously fictitious testimonials that accompany the images/products. We just have to hope that if they buy the file they buy the correct license!

Hi, I've still not had an answer to this.

Is Pixers affiliated to Adobe, and are they buying the Extended Licenses? I'm sure I'm not the only one with images on there.

Look into the earnings. An extended license should be a bigger earning number.
