Is subscription required to download assets?

I have a Creative Cloud (CC) account and used the same account to log in to Stock. I know that Stock is not included with the CC subscription; however, I can download anything I want from Stock without being subscribed.  

I would like to understand what's happening and if I can utilize the content I have downloaded from Stock? 

I appreciate any help you can provide.

What I am downloading is the preview, specifically the preview audio file. With that being said, I can't use that content because I have not purchased a license for its use.

You can use previews to check if the content fits your needs. You can download and use free assets. If you do not want a subscription, you can buy credit packs. Credit packs are also useful to buy specific licences that are not included in the subscription. Credits expire after a year, so be sure to use them before. You can also take the test subscription and cancel before the start of the second month. That is a once in a lifetime option!
