Hi,
My company is developing a series of illustration of people, to use on a brand's packaging.
To get the action right poses - is the illustrator allowed to simply reference an image on Adobe stock - or should the image be purchased, and if so, which License will cover this type of usage?
...And of course, is this type of usage allowed, without contravening any rights?
Kind Regards
Karl

What do you mean? You are doing a template for the customer and the customer than decides what packaging to use?
You can use the watermarked pictures for this.

Hi,
What I mean is taking an image of, for example, a man fly-fishing - using it as a reference to make a digital low-poly style drawing - simply using the original as a source of pose and shape - to create an illustration that will end up on packaging.
IE simply looking at a pose reference, and creating a digital drawing from that.
Thanks
Karl

For sure, the extended license would cover this type of application in any case. I cannot say, however, if a lesser license would do also. Thatks such a specific application that I would expect an IP laywer doing a huge research on precedent, with the associated costs.
