what vector file type is mostly downloaded, is it Svg or Eps or Ai ?
Downloaded from where? Stock vector sites?
Probably EPS, because that's what the stock companies demand from creators. But it's not as simple as it seems, because they also demand the files to be saved as "Illustrator 10 EPS", which means that there is an AI file inside. That also means that those files can be pretty useless if you do not have Illustrator to edit them.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

On Adobe stock you do not know in advance if the vector file is an Illustrator file or an EPS file. SVG is a newer format, so that is not that often used.
