no Transparency in Vector format

Hi, i downloaded this file als a vector

in  the titel it says, that there should be transparency in the vectorfile, but there isnt. it actually just contains a bunch of squares. thats not what a vector file with transparency should look like. what am i doing wrong?

Wleches Program hast Du benutzt? Verktordaten öffnen am Besten mit Adobe Illustrator. Es gibt in der Regel ein Hintergrund objekt oder eine Hintergrundebene, die man ausblenden muss.
