No, stock was always a for pay separate subscription. It's only recently that there is a subscription thjat includes stock assets, available in some regions.

I don't think there are any audio tracks in Adobe's Free Collection. Do you have an Adobe Stock subscription?

Stock was always a for pay service that was in addition to a standard Creative Cloud subscription. It's only recently that you can buy higher levels of subscriptions for kind of unlimited stock asset access.

it's incredible to me that they get rid of things.  eg. give the customer less but don't charge you less.  well trapped into the system

You are wrong with your assumption. You should stop this. Stock was always, since it's introduction 10 years ago, a separate for pay service, with an independant subscription. It was never included into the basic Creative Cloud all apps subscription. You just had some promotional actions from Adobe that gave you 10 free assets for one month.

Later on, with Adobe Express Premium, they included stock into Adobe Express Premium under a limited licence, letting you licence assets for Express projects. But that is a specific product, with a specific audience and not a general purpose free access to stock.

Again: STOCK WAS NEVER A FREE ADDITION TO ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD. So your assumption is wrong.

Adobe Stock always required a paid subscription, until they created a "Free Collection" of ~1 million images a few years ago. That free collection has a daily download limit of 3 images per day, and is only a tiny fraction if the >800 million images in the database.
