Proper attribution of Adobe Stock assets in an iOS app

Hello,

I'm creating an app that uses Adobe Stock images as various visual elements, like backgrounds. Based on posts I've come across, it seems as though for websites and social media, modified images can go unattributed, but unmodified ones should be attributed by overlaying "(C)[Creator name] / Adobe Stock" on the asset itself.

This doesn't seem correct for applications and games, especially when using assets for things like backgrounds and button textures.

What, then, is the correct way to attribute Stock assets in an iOS application?

You attribute the asset anywhere, where you publish your attributions. There is no fixed rule, the rule only says to attribute like all other parts. I would do that in a kind of "about" screen.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Thank you. I have a follow up question:

Elsewhere, if a Stock image is modified, then attribution is not needed. Does that apply to apps too?

What counts as a modified image?

Attribution is only necessary, when you use the asset in an editorial manner. It is also necessary to credit if you credit other people/other people's work.
