Hi all,

I do not understand very well licensing rules. And would like to ask next: I license photo (from those 10 free). Do I have the right to use this photo as front cover of my book (issue < 10k)?

Regards: Romeo

Dear EBQ,

Maybe I do not express myself clear. Let me quote myself:

"I do not understand very well licensing rules"

IMHO:

Yes! As a book cover is not the primary value of the book you can use a standard license for this, given that you do not have a print run of more then 500k.

You need probably to acknowledge the autor and Adobe stock, however.

Licensing terms may be found here: https://stock.adobe.com/license-terms

Please note: I’m not an Adobe employee and my opinion is based on reading the licensing terms.

Abamdo, I'm not sure you're right. If the visual is the main element of the cover of a marketed book, an extended license must be purchased. Can someone from Adobe please confirm?
