Good morning,

I'm fairly new at Adobe Photoshop and learning all the time! I was hoping for some help with using some transparent snowflake overlays I've found, AdobeStock_291 807724 and AdobeStock_294 337709, which I would like to add to some winter photos. I've tried using them as a layer over my winter photo and tried out the different blending modes but can't seem to get the snowflakes to appear on my photo on their own - I always seem to get the gray/white/black squares of the background showing through too. Would anyone have any advice or tips please on how to use these transparent overlays properly? I had a similar problem with Christmas light/bokeh effect overlays I used too. Thank you very much!

Did you try placing the eps file as a smartobject?

"File" Menu > "Place embedded" or just drag & drop the file into the Photoshop window
