I have been submitting some of my photos to both Adobe Stock and
Shutterstock. Some are accepted by Shutterstock but not Adobe.

The attached photo recently uploaded to both sites was rejected by Adobe (reason, image quality) but not shutterstock.

A critique would be appreciated.

Is this the case in general?

Thanks for any replies!

Arnold

Hello,

It's your white balance or colour temperature. The path has a blue/magenta cast, the overall look is a bit too blue (in photographic terms) so you have to reduce the cast by adding in more green in the tint slider of your editing programme and add a bit more yellow to warm the image up more.

Also, if zoomed in to around 100% or so you start to notice some noise - especially on the path. This can be a problem for Adobe.

Adobe tend to be a bit more picky than Shutterstock.

Hello arnoldk22732790,

Ricky offered you some useful information about how to improve this photograph. If you are going to continue to send stock offerings to Adobe, you will be well served to read the guidelines set out by Adobe. Then you can look for more problems in a rejected offering - maybe before you send it to Adobe.

I have had rejections and acceptances from both of your stock catalogs - never for the same reason. So, I will give you this link and ask you to take the time to study the photograph at 200% enlargement to find the things the reviewer sees. Best always, JH

I think this is better, but perhaps just a bit too green. You do want the path to be grey though.

Ricky336, I think this is much better - it is not too grean for people like me who have to have green like this in their lives. It is natural for where I live. Also, don't you think the gray in the roadway ruins the woodsy feeling. Crop it? Best always, JH
