Use of adobe stock on social media

Hi! We are a team of social media developers. We are currently developing a platform and we have planned to use many contents from Adobe Stock. We have read the standard license agreement (we are interested in the 750 images / month plan) and since we don't want to go against the agreements, we write here to better understand what we can do with these stock photos.

In the license agreement we read that you can use the images on social media but you have to make sure that other users can't download the files.

This is the point of greatest confusion, since there is no website that has total security regarding file sharing. You can protect the site in every way possible but there is always a 1% chance that a very knowledgeable person will be able to download the photo.

Now we list the strategies we put into practice to protect the files on our platform and we kindly ask you to tell us if we can violate the license agreement in any way.

1) We use CSS + JavaScript protection so that all possible actions in the download process are blocked. In practice, our site blocks the use of the right mouse button, so doesn't appear the drop-down menu that gives you the ability to download the image, open the inspector, save the link or open the image in an other page.

2) In the same way, we block the possible shortcuts that can be activated from the keyboard: (CTRL+X), copy (CTRL+C), paste (CTRL+V), select all (CTRL+A), view source (CTRL+U) etc.

3) If the user tries to click repeatedly the right button, an alert message will appear, informing you that the content is locked and can't be downloaded.

4) We specify within the "terms and conditions of use" of the platform that it is forbidden to download the images as it infringes the copyright and our internal regulation.

5) When users open the photo, under the lightbox the message "shot made by - name of the author of the photo -" appears.

Currently we can't think of anything else that can prevent the download of stock photos but we also think that it is the maximum that can be done in this specific case.

Please let us know if this is the right approach or if we somehow go against your license agreement. We don't want to go against it in any way and we believe in the importance of copyright protection as it is important to preserve the work of the artists.

You will be ok. You should not publish the full size full quality picture on your website. But you are alloed to use it on a web site and just to be technically correct, to view the picture, the browser first needs to downlod the image to the local computer.

The download restriction means that you are not allowed to offer the pictures for download. So your protective work is quite good, even better than needed.
